Welcome to our late Spring ’25 edition of the Cellar newsletter

All is well at the Cellar Café, and we are looking forward to the summer months – and, as always, we are looking for volunteers to support Debbie and Emma and Amy, so if you fancy giving the team a few hours a week, just let us know.

In this newsletter we are including a very personal letter from Debbie about the struggles we all are facing with the cost of living – our ‘food-bank’ and basic’s ‘table’ are needed more than ever and with our spiralling costs and difficulties with finances have prompted this appeal – if you all could spare just £10/month on a regular basis, this would lift a huge load off our shoulders – thank you.

Our newsletter also tells you about the further exploits of the amazing Matt Buckle and a Sunday Service we are running at the United Church next month, which you are most welcome to attend.

Cellar Camino Community Café Christmas Appeal 2024

Dear Friends

With your help we would love to brighten the Christmas of our lovely regular customers with a special gift and some nice festive food.

For many years our Christmas appeal has enabled us to put together over 40 parcels for needy individuals and families.

We anticipate that in these difficult times that the need will be even greater this year.

We would be most grateful for cash donations or vouchers for Waitrose or Sainsbury’s, also gifts of new toys or festive foods.

These special parcels of seasonal food and gifts are extra to the food parcels that we distribute throughout the year.

We are so thankful for your support – please bring or send any donations to the Cellar by 13th December.

Thank you in anticipation

Debbie Portsmouth and The Cellar Team
